Chula Vista Police arrest woman for deadly hit and run crash

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Chula Vista Police said Tuesday they arrested a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that killed an expectant father on his motorcycle.

Pablo Rosa-Velez died July 3 while riding his motorcycle on Main St. in Chula Vista.

Police said a driver pulled in front of Rosa-Velez and he struck the driver's side before the driver left the scene.

Witnesses gave police a description of the suspect's vehicle.

Officers said they found the vehicle a few days later and identified the driver as 46-year-old Imperial Beach resident Tina Murray.

Police arrested Murray Monday, July 24 and she was booked into Las Colinas Jail on a charge of felony hit and run.
