(KGTV) - Chipotle is rolling out queso across the nation next week.
Chipotle will begin offering queso as part of their regularly offered menu items on Sept. 12. The company has been testing the cheesy addition in 350 restaurants throughout southern California and Colorado before deciding to take it national.

In a release, Chipotle CEO Steve Ells said queso was already a top requested item:
"Although queso was the number one requested menu item, we never added it to our menu before now because we wouldn’t use the industrial additives used in most quesos, Additives make typical queso very consistent and predictable, but are not at all in keeping with our food culture. Our queso may vary slightly depending on the characteristics of the aged cheddar cheese used in each batch, but using only real ingredients is what makes our food so delicious."
Chipotle said their queso will include aged cheddar cheese tomatillos, tomatoes, and several varieties of peppers among its ingredients.
And yes, it will cost extra.
Queso will be available to order in addition with an entree meal or on the side in two sizes. Prices will vary by city, but range from $1.25 to $5.25 (as a large side order.)
