SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A vehicle struck a child at a Lincoln Park intersection Wednesday afternoon, authorities reported.
The accident at Logan Avenue and South 49th Street was reported shortly after 3 p.m., according to San Diego police.
At the intersection sits the Children of the Rainbow child care facility. It's not clear whether the child was from the facility or simply nearby. The area is surrounded by homes and apartment complexes as well.
Medics took the victim -- whose name, age and gender were not immediately available -- to Rady Children's Hospital for treatment of injuries of unknown severity, Officer Billy Hernandez said.
