SAN DIEGO -- A two-year-old girl was struck by a car outside a day care center in the Linda Vista neighborhood Tuesday morning.
The girl was struck in a parking lot off Linda Vista Road near Glidden Street around 9 a.m., according to San Diego police.
The toddler was taken to Rady Children's Hospital to be treated. The driver remained at the scene.
The extent of her injuries were not immediately known. It was unclear if she was attended the daycare center.
Police did not confirm if the driver was cited.
