SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A car plowed into the bedroom of a North Park apartment Friday while someone was still in bed.
A driver crashed through the wall of the building in the 2500 block of Howard Avenue shortly after 2:30 p.m., while a man was in his bedroom, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue.
The collision sent the man and his bed to the other side of the room.
The man told 10News after he was suddenly woken from his afternoon nap, all he could see was dust and a license plate. While he complained of some shoulder pain, he was not transported to the hospital.
The driver, who lives right above the unit her vehicle ran into, was not injured. The driver reportedly mixed up the gas and break pedals.
The building's structural integrity is being assessed.
