SANTEE, Calif. (KGTV) -- Police in Santee are responding to a major crash at the intersection of Mast Boulevard and Cuyamaca Street in Santee. At this point we know that the crash involves a vehicle crashing through a fence on Mast Boulevard and hitting a single-family home in the 9900 block of Via Nina.
Police said the car went through the fence on Mast Boulevard, went through the backyard of the home and came to rest in the side of a bedroom.
The two women in the car were able to exit the vehicle and did not need to be taken to the hospital. At this point not injuries to anyone in the home have been reported.
Police say distracted driving is the cause of the crash.
