SAN DIEGO - A car crashed into a Rancho San Diego-area business Friday, sending the driver to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The collision happened at the Blow Dry Bar, a business located in a strip mall in the 2900 block of Jamacha Rd.
An employee told 10News that no one inside the building was injured. However, the business has been closed indefinitely.
The employee said she believes the driver, an elderly woman, may have fallen asleep before striking the building.
Cal Fire officials confirmed the woman was taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Structural engineers say there is no structural damage to the building.
