SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Caltrans work will affect San Diego commuters this weekend on Interstates 5 and 8.
Maintenance crews will close the west I-8 connector to north I-5 Saturday from 3-10 a.m. to repair damaged crash cushions.
Drivers will be detoured along Old Town Ave.

Crews will also close all lanes of southbound I-5 from the I-805 merge to La Jolla Village Dr. Sunday and Monday night from 9:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning for bridge work.
Drivers will be rerouted to southbound I-805.
Caltrans is reminding drivers to ‘Be Work Zone Alert’ by slowing down when approaching work zones.
