(KGTV) - A California tourist was shot and killed by a stray bullet at a Mexico City taco shop last week.

The 27-year-old woman, identified as Tatiana Mirutenko of San Francisco, was leaving the restaurant Saturday in the Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood when gunmen on a motorcycle fired at a bouncer outside a nearby bar, according to KRON.

The bouncer was struck by gunfire but is expected to survive.

Mirutenko worked at Nektar in San Francisco, KRON reported. The company said, "She was always willing to help on any project across the company and had an incredibly strong work ethic. Many throughout Nektar, and outside the company, valued her positive energy, insight and sheer enthusiasm for life."

The attackers escaped, authorities told the Bay Area station.
