FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KGTV) - A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was killed Friday in a crash involving a truck in the San Francisco suburb of Fairfield.
He was identified as Solano-area officer Kirk Griess, KGO reported.
Officer Griess was thrown from the motorcycle over a guardrail on Interstate 80 at North Texas St.
Law enforcement officers gathered at Northbay Regional Medical Center in Fairfield to pay their respects to the officer.
