SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police discovered drugs and what appeared to be a cache of stolen goods inside a pickup truck that was also reportedly stolen.

Police made the discovery Thursday inside a truck parked along Arjons Street in Miramar.

Police officers were first called out to the block after reports of transients living in an RV that had parked their vehicle on the sidewalk.  A man pulled over because he noticed the police activity and recognized his pickup truck parked in front of the RV. He had reported the truck stolen last month. He stopped to tell police the pickup belonged to him.

Police officers were seen removing nearly a dozen cell phones and several laptops from the truck. They also removed drugs, a safe, and some tools.

Police led four people away from the scene, believed to be the ones living in the RV. It’s unclear if they had any connection to the stolen truck, drugs or items.
