SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--For the second time in three months, a central San Diego CVS Pharmacy was targeted overnight by a robber demanding cough syrup.
Early Sunday morning a man jumped over the counter of a Hillcrest CVS Pharmacy taking bottles of cough syrup before fleeing, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The suspect entered the store located on the 300 block of Washington Street around 2:02 a.m., hopped the pharmacy counter and demanded prescription medication, police said.
He grabbed an unknown amount of cough syrup and fled the store, authorities said.

- Age: 20s
- Height: 5'8"-6'
- Weight: 185 lbs
- Clothing: Black hoodie, dark gray pants, white shoes
Today's incident is similar to another robbery of a North Park CVS Pharmacy in May, when a suspect hopped the counter, flashed the handle of a gun and took off with bottles of cough syrup.
San Diego Police's Robbery Unit was investigating.
