SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Amid another day of excessive heat, a brush fire erupted in a riverbed in the Otay Mesa West area of San Diego Wednesday morning.
The fire was reported shortly after 10:45 a.m. off Palm Avenue, near Beyer Way, fire dispatchers said.
Responding crews knocked down the fire at about 11:05 a.m., and some firefighters remained at the scene to put out any flare-ups.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
