CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- Firefighters are battling a small brush fire that broke out in a field in Chula Vista Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out before 10:20 a.m. in the 200 block of Bay Boulevard. According to the Chula Vista Fire Department, the fire was burning between a half-acre to an acre in a large open field. It was not burning near any structures.
Six engines and a chopper were en route to extinguish the fire.
The cause was not immediately known.
