CITY HEIGHTS, Calif. (KGTV) -- A homeowner in City Heights was shocked when he received an alert on his cell phone with a picture of a stranger inside his home.
Michael Stenger was running errands on Wednesday with his girlfriend when he got the pictures. He has surveillance cameras set up in his home. His surveillance system notified him that they had gone offline.
Stenger called police and when he got home he looked through the footage. The video shows a woman walking up towards his house. She then walks back to a car parked on the street. She gets into the car and then the car backs into Stenger's driveway.
The video shows the couple notices the camera and the man tries to break it. Stenger thinks the pair got inside through a window on the side of the home.
The couple got away with a laptop, a television, and several other electronics.
San Diego Police Department is investigating.
