A toddler found wandering in an Encinitas park Friday afternoon was reunited with his parents, sheriff's officials said.
The two-year-old boy was spotted all alone at Cottonwood Creek Park on North Vulcan Avenue just before 1:30 p.m. He was wearing a black T-shirt and gray camouflage shorts, and was barefoot when he was found at the park, sheriff's officials said.
Authorities searched the park, nearby homes, parking lots, hospitals and notified lifeguards at nearby beaches.
The sheriff's ASTREA helicopter also made announcements overhead during the search, but deputies were not able to locate the child's parents or guardians.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m., sheriff's officials confirmed the boy's parents picked him up.
There is no immediate word on possible charges against the parents.
