LEMON GROVE, Calif. (KGTV) - Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found lying in front of a Lemon Grove home.
According to San Diego County sheriff’s officials, deputies responded to reports of a man found bleeding in front of a home in the 7600 block of Lemon Avenue night just before 9 p.m.
Residents said they called 911 after hearing loud banging on their front door and discovering the injured man.
The man, who was not identified, was declared dead at the scene. Sheriff’s homicide investigators were summoned to look into the incident.
Deputies initially reported the man suffered gunshot wounds, but investigators have not officially confirmed the cause of death. Investigators only said the victim was “seriously injured and had visible injuries to his upper body.”
A suspect description was not immediately available.
