(KGTV) - The Bird scooter company is offering a discount for low-income riders.
The company is nixing its $1 base ride fee for riders who are enrolled in or eligible for state or federal assistance programs.
Through the new One Bird program, those riders who qualify only have to pay the 15 cents per minute fee that Bird charges all of its riders.
Riders who want the discount will have to email the company with proof that they are in need of financial assistance.
