Police are investigating a series of BB gun-related attacks in Allied Gardens that has many residents on edge.

Brenda, a resident, told 10News, "It's very scary."

She said around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, her husband was sitting on a chair next to a large window when he heard a thumping sound.

"The dog started barking. My husband went to the door, but didn't see anything," said Brenda.

The next morning, Brenda discovered what appeared to be a hole created by a BB in that living room window.

"It was terrifying. It went through the first window pane, then chipped the second window pane, and ricocheted off," said Brenda.

The damage on the window was just inches away from where her husband sat. Brenda and her young son were also in the house.

"Don't know how to describe the feeling; someone could have gotten hurt," said Brenda.

On that same night, neighbors a few blocks away posted on the website Nextdoor that the windows of two cars were shattered, with at least one by a BB shot.

While on the same street -- Gala Avenue -- resident Ron Frasca found a pellet in his driveway.

Every once in a while, Frasca said he will hear tapping, and then come out and find a pellet.

He showed 10News a tray of more than a dozen pellets, all collected within the last few months. Frasca said the pellets starting showing up about eight months ago.

A year ago, the window of a relative's car was shattered, he said.

Brenda's husband filed a police report.

Anyone with information on this case is urged to call San Diego police.
