ESCONDIDO, Calif. - A drive-by shooting left a man wounded in a residential North County neighborhood Thursday, authorities reported.
The gunfire in the area of East Mission Avenue and North Fig Street in Escondido erupted shortly after 11:30 a.m., according to police. The victim's condition and a description of the shooter were not immediately available.
The assailant might have fled in a light-blue vehicle, police said.
