SAN DIEGO – A driver reportedly tried to run from police after he rolled his SUV inti the front yard of a Clairemont home overnight Thursday.
The crash occurred at around 12:15 a.m. in the 4800 block of Limerick Avenue. According to San Diego police, a man lost control of a Ford Explorer, struck a parked car and rolled the Explorer onto its side in the front yard of a home.
Residents helped a female passenger crawl out of the vehicle. The driver allegedly tried to run from police, but was caught. Both occupants had been drinking at a bar prior to the crash, police at the scene said.
The man is expected to face drunken driving charges. There were no serious injuries.
