BISHOP, Calif. (KGTV) - Six earthquakes struck near the Sierra Nevada foothills community of Bishop Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Service.
The U.S. Geological Service reported the following quakes, centered roughly 12 miles northwest of the community of Dixon Lane:
- 2.7 at 11:56 p.m.
- 3.0 at 11:29 p.m.
- 2.6 at 11:14 p.m.
- 3.3 at 11:12 p.m.
- 2.7 at 9:23 p.m.
- 2.7 at 9:22 p.m.
"You get little swarms here and there," said geophysicist John Bellini. "It happens."
10News reached out to the Inyo County Sheriff's Department and Bishop Police, which said there were no reports of damage.
