SANTEE, Calif. (KGTV) - A brush fire that charred about five acres in Santee Tuesday night is under investigation.
The fire erupted just before 11 p.m. on Mission Gorge Road, just east of Cowles Mountain, according to authorities.
Firefighters used chainsaws to cut down surrounding brush, and crews were able to stop the spread of the flames within 30 minutes.
No injuries were reported.
