4.7 Earthquake strikes Central California town of Gonzales

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A 4.7 earthquake struck the Central California city of Gonzales Monday.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake at 11:31 a.m., 22 kilometers northeast of the city in Monterey County.

The quake was 6.2 km deep. It was followed by aftershocks measuring 2.8 and 2.7 about an hour later.

The Gonzales Police Department said there were no reports of damage.
