MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. (KGTV) - The Mammoth Lakes region was shaken by a 4.1-magnitude earthquake Friday, two days after a similar scale earthquake rattled the Julian community.
The earthquake struck with a depth of 3.4 k.m. just before 2:30 p.m. just west of Toms Place. No injuries of damages were immediately reported.
The USGS's "did you feel" map should a "weak" amount of shaking around the area - most center in Mammoth Lakes.

The earthquake was followed by a smaller 2.9-magnitude quake almost an hour later.
Julian experienced a similar situation this week after a 4.2-magnitude earthquake rattled the town. Smaller 3.8- and 3.0-magnitude quakes were recorded within 24 hours following the first event in the same region.
