Two men suspected in a series of burglaries in San Diego neighborhoods were arrested in Arizona.
Authorities took Alberto Casillas and Christopher Hernandez into custody at a Border Patrol checkpoint in Yuma. The men were apparently driving a pickup truck stolen in San Diego.
The men are accused of carrying out a series of burglaries in the San Diego area in late March. Police say Casillas and Hernandez stole cash, jewelry, electronics and other valuables, in addition to the truck. Authorities say they also found drugs and a handgun in the vehicle.
According to authorities, the men were on their way to Texas to sell the stolen items.
Authorities say the stolen property could be linked to up to 15 local burglaries.
10News learned Casillas and Hernandez are expected to be extradited to San Diego.
