ESCONDIDO -- Two men were wounded in a possibly gang-related shooting in Escondido, police said Thursday.
Officers sent to the 600 block of East Mission Avenue near North Fig Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday found one victim with a gunshot wound to his forearm and the other with a bullet wound on his leg, Escondido police Sgt. Jim Lanigan said.
Both victims were taken to Palomar Medical Center to be treated for their injuries, which were not considered life-threatening, according to the sergeant.
No arrests had been made as of this morning and a suspect description was not immediately available. Lanigan said gang unit detectives had launched an investigation.
