CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- One woman has been arrested and a man is being sought in connection with an armed robbery that took place at a Target store in Chula Vista Monday night.
The burglary occurred at the Target at 1240 Broadway just before 8 p.m.
According to Chula Vista police, a loss prevention officer noticed a man shoplifting items. He was accompanied by a woman. When the loss prevention officer confronted them, the man showed a gun and ran away into the nearby Sunset Villas apartment complex.
Responding Chula Vista police swarmed the complex and searched it with K-9s, but were unable to locate the man. Police did not immediately release a description of the suspect.
Meanwhile, after the suspect showed the gun, the woman he was with tried to run in another direction, but she was apprehended a few blocks away. She was arrested on robbery and conspiracy charges. Her name was not released.
No one was injured during the incident.
