VISTA, Calif. – Two people have been arrested in connection with six armed robberies that occurred over a four-hour period in north San Diego County Tuesday night.
The robberies occurred in Vista, San Marcos and Oceanside, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. The first two were reported beginning at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday in the Vista area. One was at an unknown location and the second occurred at a Chili’s restaurant at 255 Vista Village Dr.
Just after midnight, a robbery was reported at an AM/PM convenience store on Santa Fe Avenue in Vista. Responding deputies discovered a truck matching the description of the suspect vehicle and a short chase ensued. The truck came to a stop, two suspects were arrested and a handgun was recovered. Victims from several robberies were able to identify the two suspects, the sheriff’s department said. Property belonging to at least one of the victims was also retrieved from the truck.
The exact circumstances and timeframe of the six robberies were not immediately confirmed. The names of the suspects and the charges they face were not released.
