CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Days after a Chula Vista mom witnesses a 'creepy' sight in her own yard, the man that caused the panic walked past a 10News camera while a crew was shooting video.
On Monday afternoon in the southern part of Chula Vista, Jenny was sitting in her fenced-in yard playing with her daughters, ages 6 and 3, when she stepped inside to get her keys. Moments later, she heard her oldest daughter scream, "Stranger!"
When she ran outside, she said she saw a older man, offering her girls money through the fence and telling them to “come here.” Jenny screamed at him and took a photo, before he took off. She filed a police report.
Not long after 10News showed up in her neighborhood to investigate the story Wednesday, the man in question appeared near the family's home. While our camera rolled, he admitted he did offer the girls the money, but says he never told them to "come here." He said he had the extra money to give and wanted them to buy themselves a soda or toy. He claimed he lives in the neighborhood.
10News reported the information to Chula Vista Police.
