SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman was killed and two others were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after a crash on state Route 94 in the Spring Valley area.
The crash happened just after 7:30 a.m. on westbound SR-94 near Kenwood Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials told 10News the driver of a Kia SUV somehow lost control, spun around and came to rest on the center-divide.
CHP officials confirmed the female driver died at the scene. An adult male and a female believed to be a teen were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Another vehicle that may have been involved in the incident stopped at the scene but no one from that car was injured.
The crash forced authorities to shut down at least one lane on westbound SR-94 for at least an hour.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
