Mass shooting in east Bakersfield sends multiple victims to the hospital

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — A house party shooting in east Bakersfield sends six victims to the hospital Saturday morning.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the area of Pioneer Drive and Sterling Road for a report of a shooting just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

KCSO says six people attending a large party were hit by gunshots and received non-life threatening wounds.

Deputies were at the scene for a number of hours and found at least 94 casings.

Suspect information is preliminary, as party goers and the victims were uncooperative with any information.

The sheriff's office said the only suspect information at this time was four black males in a white car.
