Author John Harrell‘s recent release, Killing My Father Then Finding Him hit Amazon.com’s best seller list on May 21st, 2018, climbing all the way to Number One in the Religious Ethics category.  It also hit #1 in Adolescent Counseling, #2 in Adolescent Psychology, #4 in Christian Leadership, and #5 in Counseling.

Killing My Father Then Finding Him details one man’s journey to overcome powerful voices which were firmly planted in his mind by two flawed individuals, his parents. The author walks you through the steps he took to forgive his parents for their failings, jettisoning the lies and finding the freedom forgiveness brings. John Harrell wants others who are living with painful memories, believing wrongful voices to find the strength to face their darkness while learning the truth about who they are. Only when one lives fully can they fill the void and find their purpose, their true calling. All it takes is one brave step.

John Harrell manages a successful investment advisory business, writes a blog, and regularly engages in public speaking. His audiences include corporations, trade associations, college students and incarcerated children-truly a “captive” audience. He encourages all to pursue their callings and not trade their potential for the security of a paycheck. John is a fortunate survivor of childhood physical and emotional abuse. Because of his upbringing, Harrell is able to connect with struggling children, offering hope to kids, reminding them their futures are not limited by their circumstances.
