La Jolla Art & Wine Festival - Saturday and Sunday
The eighth annual festival takes place on Girard Avenue, and it includes artwork from over 150 artists, fundraising and auctions, food and wine from popular wineries.

Haunted Hotel in Gaslamp District - Happening throughout October
One of America's best haunted houses is open for business this weekend in the Gaslamp District. The Haunted Hotel opens, featuring zombie-filled alley ways, clown infested rooms, and other frightening scares around each turn. The Haunted Hotel runs through Halloween. More information.
Del Mar Scream Zone at Del Mar Fairgrounds - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Del Mar's Scream Zone is back for another season, featuring "The Haunted Hayride," "The House of Horrors," and more. New this year is "The Running Dead" obstacle course, where guests will race against time, their friends, and the undead through frightening barriers and challenges. More information.
