SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Make sure you get out this weekend to one of the many events, some of which are free, happening around San Diego.
This weekend, there are a couple of street fairs across the region to head out to, including the annual Encinitas Spring Street Fair and Adams Avenue Unplugged.
If festivals are your things, you can also head out to the Chocolate Festival, San Diego Black Film Festival, or Temecula Bluegrass Festival.

Temecula Valley Bluegrass Festival @ Tucalota Creek Ranch - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Get ready to get down to some of the hottest bluegrass stylings around in Temecula. The Temecula Bluegrass Festival will feature workshops, arts and crafts, countless vendors, and of course two stages of bluegrass music over three days. RV and tent camping will be available. More information.
San Diego Black Film Festival 2017 @ Various locations - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
The San Diego Black Film Festival screens more than 100 films at various theaters throughout San Diego County. The festival will screen a large percentage of independent films that have received critical acclaim at other festivals throughout the country. The festival will kick off Thursday and run through the weekend, with tickets for only $10. More information.
Art Alive 2017 @ The San Diego Museum of Art - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Art Alive celebrates stunning works of art featuring floral displays from more than 100 local and national designers. Visitors will experience a floral interpretation show, fashion pairings with art, a premier dinner, workshops, and more. More information.
Del Mar National Horse Show @ Del Mar Fairgrounds - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
This weekend, the Del Mar Horse Show will host its "dressage" competition at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Top U.S. equestrian teams will demonstrate technically challenging movements to music. Equestrian sports fanatics will be treated to more than 1,500 horses in competition across the show's full stint in Del Mar until May 7. More information.
4th Annual San Diego Shaka Fest @ Mission Bay - Saturday
Celebrate a fusion of Hawaiian culture, arts, and athletics, with events such as a canoe regatta, SUP race, and stages of da kine Hawaiian and Tahitian entertainment. Boutique vendors and island-inspired food vendors will be on hand, so you don't want to miss all there is to experience! More information.
Adams Avenue Unplugged @ Adams Avenue, San Diego - Saturday
Adams Avenue Unplugged will host about 100 performances across 30 stages stationed along Adams Avenue. Two miles of restaurants, bars, coffee houses and galleries will host free performances, giving their own unique vibe while dining. More information.
34th Annual Encinitas Spring Street Fair @ D to J Street, Encinitas - Saturday and Sunday
The two-day fair in Encinitas will see more than 100,000 residents head to the scenic town to enjoy live music, food, games, and more for the whole family. Two stages of music, a craft beer garden, and children's rides will be placed among more than 40 restaurants and bars downtown during the event. A heavy emphasis will be on homemade arts and crafts, and antiques so be prepared to find a new treasure. More information.
6th Annual Chocolate Festival @ Maritime Museum San Diego - Sunday
Multiple vessels at the Maritime Museum San Diego will host sessions on the history of chocolate and - best of all - creating delicious chocolate treats. More than 15 vendors will be on hand showcasing and offering samples of various types of chocolates. More information.
Tacos N' Beer 5K Run @ Embarcadero Marina - Sunday
What better way to end a run than with tacos and beer? Lace up your running shoes and take a run (or walk) along the Embarcadero this weekend. Tacos and beer await for finishers, along with live mariachi music, bands, DJs, and games. There will also be a Cinco de Mayo costume contest, so dress to impress! More information.
Sunset Yoga & Fireside Social @ L'Auberge Del Mar - Sunday
Down for some yoga at sunset? The Sunset Yoga & Fireside Social, hosted by Yoga Six and Xanadu Life, will bring yogis together for yoga with silent disco headphones for a surround-sound, sunset experience. The event will be led by international yoga expert Katie Brauer and feature tunes by DJ Jesse Blake. Stick around for the fireside social, with wine and light snacks afterward. More information.
