LANCASTER, Calif. - A 36-year-old man who appeared in the children's television series "Power Rangers Samurai" was taken into custody Thursday on a felony arrest warrant for allegedly stabbing his roommate to death a year ago.

Ricardo Medina is due to be arraigned Tuesday at the Antelope Valley courthouse on a murder charge. Prosecutors said they would ask that bail be set at $1 million.

Medina is accused of fatally stabbing Josh Sutter on Jan. 31, 2015, at a house the two shared in Green Valley. They got into an argument over Medina's girlfriend, and he allegedly stabbed his housemate multiple times with a sword.

If convicted, he faces 26 years to life in state prison.
