Documented gang members arrested in connection with Valley Center murder

VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (KGTV) - Two documented gang members have been arrested in connection with a murder outside a Valley Center library in February.

San Diego Sheriff's Department (SDSO) said 21-year-old Jonathan Gonzalez and 20-year-old Guillermo Bravo were arrested over the past week in connection with the death of 29-year-old Jose Ortiz.

Gonzalez and Bravo, who were both in San Diego County Jail on unrelated charges at the time of their arrests, both reside in North County San Diego, according to SDSO.

Ortiz was found dead of apparent gunshot wounds in his vehicle on Feb. 27, in the 29200 block of Cole Grade Road shortly after 7 a.m. 

At the time of the incident, SDSO said they were looking for an assailant who fled with several companions in a white Honda Civic with a black drivers-side door.
