San Diego Police investigate sexual assault at North Park home

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police are investigating a sexual assault and robbery at a woman's home in North Park.

The woman reported a home invasion break-in on Texas St. near Polk Ave. at 10:10 a.m., said police.

Officers said the woman first answered a knock on her door and was asked if a certain person lived there.

She was taking out the trash a short time later when a man grabbed her neck, pushed her against a wall, and sexually assaulted her, according to San Diego police.

The man was with another woman who went into the victim's home and stole her property, said police.

The man is described as African-American, six feet tall, with a thin build.  He had dreadlocks in a ponytail, a black shirt and white shorts.

The woman is white and was wearing a hooded sweater and shorts.

The victim was taken to the hospital.
