CHULA VISTA, Calif. - New video shows the moments before a man allegedly followed a Chula Vista teen and exposed himself.

A 10News viewer tracked down the video after watching the story on Monday. The viewer's surveillance video captured the incident.

In the video, a 15-year-old girl is shown walking just blocks from Chula Vista High School. She has no idea she's being watched.

"It makes my heart race," said the girl's mother, Mary.

Mary said her daughter was on Fifth Avenue, just past 7 a.m. last Friday, when the incident occurred.

In the video, a man is seen parking a car and then getting out. Mary said the tall, light-skinned man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweats and a bandana to cover his face.

After he walks around, the man in black chooses the first girl to cross his path.

The video shows the man run ahead of her as she crosses a street, before both disappear off the screen. Mary said that's when he made his move.

"He turned around, and said 'Hey,' and put his pants down," said Mary.

Afterwards, he casually walks around, before getting in his car and driving off.

The girl ran to school, where staff called police.

"Just makes me feel scared for any little girl walking," said Mary.

10News contacted police and handed over the surveillance video.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to call Chula Vista Police at 619-422-TIPS.
