Derek Carr of the Oakland Raiders is known for saving his team when they're in trouble on the field, but the star quarterback recently came to the rescue of a stranded motorist in the Bay Area.
Ron Reeser said he ran out of gas while driving in San Francisco, so he took his gas can and began walking to a gas station when Carr pulled up to him.
Reeser had no idea who the driver was until they got to the gas station and started talking about football.
"I said, 'Well, what's your favorite team?' And he said, 'Well, I'm a little biased because I play for the Raiders.' So I was a little shocked, and I said, 'Really? What's your name?' And he said, 'Oh, my name's Derek Carr,'" said Reeser.
Reeser later posted his thanks on Twitter:
