SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Liberty Charter senior Kenny Vogan became interested in volleyball in seventh grade, and says the unpredictability of the sport peaked his interest.
"What ever happens on your side of the net or their side of the net is unknown, so you always have to be on your toes."
Kenny likes the fact the sport of volleyball really gets his blood pumping. He's been apart of the varsity at Liberty Charter since his freshman year.
"Our team won the Sweetwater local tournament my freshman year and my junior year, and I currently hold the school record for aces in a game with eight aces."
This year Kenny was a team captain, and to have his senior year cut short due to coronavirus has been very disappointing.
"Out of all the class of 2020 I've been the only one to play volleyball all four years. So I've been looking forward to my senior year, and also I've been looking forward to the events like senior night and then the volleyball retreat. So to end like this has been very disappointing."
