SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman died early Friday morning after the truck she was driving rolled over on state Route 54, causing her to be ejected from the vehicle.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. on eastbound SR-54 near Reo Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to witnesses, the woman somehow lost control of the Toyota Tundra truck and rolled over. The driver was ejected onto the fast lane, witnesses said.
Several military members who happened to be in the area rushed to help, providing emergency aid until paramedics arrived.
The woman died at the hospital a short time later, 10News learned.
