A walk down memory lane is bringing young and old togethernow through Sunday at the Palomar Airport in Carlsbad as part of the Wings of Freedom Tour.
The public has the chance to view rare bomber and fighter aircraft from WWII. Planes on display will include the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, Consolidated B-24 Liberator, B-25 Mitchell and North American P-51 Mustang.
The Wings of Freedom Tour, now in its 27th year, is making 110 stops in some 35 states nationwide.
Staged by the non-profit Collings Foundation, the tour aims to honor the sacrifices made by military veterans as well as educate all ages about the nation's history.
A $6 to $12 donation is requested for admission.
