CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - A whale surfaced in Carlsbad's Agua Hedionda lagoon Monday, surprising crowds of people on the paths and beaches.
A crowd gathered on the Highway 101 bridge above the lagoon's mouth to see the juvenile gray whale as it swam in shallow waters.
Two swimmers jumped in the water near the whale.
SeaWorld experts went to Carlsbad to assess the situation and said the whale appeared to be fine.
