(KGTV)--The U.S. Department of Defense released Monday aerial footage of the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast that hit a tunnel system in the Achin district of Afghanistan last week.
The bomb struck a cave and tunnel system said to be that of an ISIS Khorasan stronghold on April 13 at 7:32 p.m. local time.
The YouTube video's description reads: "The strike was designed to minimize the risk to Afghan and U.S. forces conducting clearing operations in the area while maximizing the destruction of ISIS-K fighters and facilities."
