Vigil held for mother of three killed in University City pool party shooting

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Dozens of people lit candles and shed tears at a vigil Wednesday night for a mother of three shot to death by a gunman at pool party in University City.

Monique Clark's family, including her three children, were escorted into the vigil in front of the La Jolla Crossroads apartments, where the shooting took place on April 30.

A pastor read a message from Clark's family: "No family should ever have to experience this type of loss and the pain is indescribable."

A woman who identified herself as Clark's aunt added, "She is a bright shining star and will forever be in our hearts."
