Loved ones held a vigil for a father-to-be, shot to death by two men who opened fire on a group of people in a City Heights alley Saturday evening. The killers have not been caught.
Dozens of people mourned the death of Angel Sanabria, 26, Wednesday at New Harvest Christian Fellowship on 54th St. in Oak Park.
Sanabria’s girlfriend is seven months pregnant with a baby boy.
“As difficult as it is. we also know that Angel has a baby on his way and his name is going to be Angel as well," Pastor Jesus Sandoval said at the prayer service.
“Sometimes when things like this happen, the street code is silence. I don’t see nothing. I don’t hear anything. But the fact of the matter is people are hurting,” Sandoval said.
A man with Sanabria was also shot and is in the hospital.
