SAN DIEGO – A San Diego man is recovering after a harrowing base jumping accident in France last month that was caught on video.
Eric Dossantos was wingsuit base jumping in Chamonix, France, on Sept. 29 when he lost altitude and slammed into several trees.
According to a GoFundMe page set up to help fund his medical bills, he fractured several bones, lacerated his liver and had a neck abrasion.
In an interview with BASE jumping site Top Gun Base, said: “It wasn’t until about the last 5 seconds that I felt the trees below me getting closer than I expected or wanted.”
