Tuesday, the Miller Elementary School administration arranged for Mayerhofer’s three school children to be in the library for a special “story time” with their classmates.
Mayerhofer walked in as the kids were listening to the librarian.
After the reunion, Senior Chief Mayerhofer sat with his wife and three children and read two stories to the gathered students including "Hero Dad."
