CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) – Veterans we spoke with on the streets of Coronado gave President Trump passing grades Friday night, the eve of his 100th day in office.
“I’d give him a B because he’s trying like heck to the right thing,” veteran Ed Woodard said. “I’ve talked to guys on the base and they’re pulling for him. He seems to be pretty strong for the military and the veteran and that’s good.”
Another veteran, Dan Hendrickson graded the President’s performance a little lower.
“I think he's finding it a lot more complex than he anticipated,” Hendrickson said. “But he’s hired some pretty good people, particularly the generals.”
Johann Sulser, who served in the Navy, said he’d give the President an "A" for effort but overall he’d “give him a big B” because of behavior.
“He’s more absorbed with what he’s doing,” he said. “Go out and do something constructive instead constantly talking about the last election.”
"(But) he's trying to create some change," Sulser added.
